Sweet Pea Growing Instructions
Sweet peas can be a challenge to germinate but once they get going they are tough plants. Increase germination by nicking the seed coat then pre-sprout indoors by soaking in a wet paper towel. Finally, sow in pots to transplant or plant the presprouted seeds. Alternately, direct sow in cool soils of late February/March. Give them time andthey will typically sprout on thier own out in the garden. Sow ½” deep and thin to 4”.
