Description
Calcium Sulfite: This material removes chlorine from water very effectively. It is commonly used in shower filters as it acts quickly in warmer temperatures and quickly neutralises chlorine and chlorine compounds that can irritate and dry out the skin.
ACTIVATED CARBON Activated carbon is a porous material that can absorb a variety of organic molecules and chlorine. It works through a process called adsorption where pollutants are bound to the surface of the carbon particles. This allows it to effectively remove flavours, odours and chemicals from the water.
KDF-55: This filter medium is made of a copper-zinc alloy and works through a chemical redox process (oxidation reduction). It is particularly effective in removing heavy metals such as lead, mercury and arsenic as well as some bacteria and algae. KDF-55 also helps to extend the life of activated carbon by reducing the amount of chlorine, which means the coal is saturated less quickly.
