Very useful at start of heating season in order to check circulation pumps operation (checking of eventual pump blocking after longer non operation period)
Also possible to provide oil burner solenoid valve operation checking
The indicator is showing for most circulation pumps the magnetic field and the direction of rotation
When the pump is running, the red / white screw will rotate in the same direction as the pump
